Worst Day of the Year Ride 2018

Hello, We are writing to notify the Kerns Neighborhood Association of an upcoming event that will be going through your neighborhood. The Worst Day of the Year Ride is a fundraising community bicycle ride event benefiting the Community Cycling Center. The Worst Day of the Year Ride will take place on Sunday, February 11th, 2018. Participants in your area are riding a 15 mile “urban course”. Draft wood smoke ordinance – we welcome your thoughts!

Dear Friends and Neighbors, After this summer, we all understand the negative impacts of wood smoke. The fires in our beloved Columbia River Gorge and throughout the state brought poor air quality advisories to our region for much of August and September. We were frustrated at being advised to stay indoors during the summer months and many even experienced coughing and difficulty breathing caused by the poor air quality.
