We have received permission from Tree House Collective, the owners, and submitted the permit paperwork to the City of Portland Bureau of Development Services. Traffic Alert: Burnside Bridge closed this weekend for work zone set-up

The Burnside Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 11 pm on Friday, March 29 until as late as 5 am on Monday, April 1 to allow Hamilton Construction to set up a work zone on the north side of the bridge and reopen lanes on the south side. This marks the final phase of a maintenance project that began in 2017. 2019 Kerns Buckman Community Collection Event: Saturday April 20th

SIGN UP HERE From its origin as a fall event, the combined community of Buckman and Kerns neighborhoods have hosted an annual spring clean-up since the 1990s, providing residents a chance to recycle or dispose of disused items from their households, and to support, through donations, various activities of the neighborhoods, including picnics, holiday gatherings, and other occasions. Donation: $15-40 depending on load (bicyclists are free). Money raised goes toward the costs of the collection event and for other neighborhood events in the Kerns and Buckman communities. KERNS STREET CALMING MURAL REPAINTING >>THIS WEEKEND !!!!! Hi Everyone, Yes, this Sunday we will be closing 24th Ave between Davis and Flanders early (8am) so that we can repaint the street mural. Free donuts, pizza, watermelon and a chance to meet neighbors, help redo this mural. 2018 Buckman-Kerns Community Collection Event CCE

The 2018 Buckman-Kerns Community Collection Event CCE) took place at Hinson Memorial Baptist Church at 20th and Salmon Street from 9AM to 1PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Thanks to more than a dozen great volunteers from the Buckman Community Association, Central Catholic High School, and the Kerns Neighborhood Association, the event collected waste and reusable items from 60 visitors. Three 20 cubic foot yard boxes were filled to capacity for an estimated total tonnage of 10.5 tonnes. Official tallies are pending from Heiberg. Additionally, numerous electronics and appliances were recycled by Green Century. Estimate is 2500lbs pending their official total. The event should […]
