Kerns SOLVE Team Announces First Cleanup Event of 2021

Hello Kerns SOLVE Team and Kerns community We’re happy to announce that the Kerns SOLVE Team is back in action after weathering the pandemic. Kerns SOLVE Team is officially established by the Kerns Neighborhood Association

At their November 2019 meetibng – the Kerns Neighborhood Association officially established the Kerns SOLVE Team  – which will meet regularly through the Kerns neighborhood and beyond – to clean up and cheer up the neighborhood and bring neighbors together from all walks of life. Our first official event will be at Da Vinci Arts Middle School on Fri Dec 13 after school to clean up the school grounds and the surrounding block. Join us! 2019 Kerns Buckman Community Collection Event: Saturday April 20th

SIGN UP HERE From its origin as a fall event, the combined community of Buckman and Kerns neighborhoods have hosted an annual spring clean-up since the 1990s, providing residents a chance to recycle or dispose of disused items from their households, and to support, through donations, various activities of the neighborhoods, including picnics, holiday gatherings, and other occasions. Donation: $15-40 depending on load (bicyclists are free). Money raised goes toward the costs of the collection event and for other neighborhood events in the Kerns and Buckman communities.
